Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio.
WE HAVE AN EXTRA CHALLENGE THIS YEAR
We do not have the use of the COMMUNICATIONS TRAILER
BUT
- we do have lots of other radio equipment and assets available for setting up a portable entry
- We can also participate using the Club Station VE6AO at the CSCC . if we deploy the Generator we can enter as in (Class E) Home stations - Emergency power: Same as Class D, but using emergency power for transmitters and receivers. Class E may work all Field Day stations
We also need someone to coordinate our efforts
